Each quarter, we will spotlight a few Mundis and give our readers an opportunity to meet the individuals who comprise the chorus.

Tracy – Alto I

How long have you been with Soromundi?
I joined Soromundi in the fall of 2019, and six months later, Covid hit! I’m just lucky like that. If I hurry, maybe I can get to Pompeii for the lava season.

What is your favorite Soromundi song?
Hard to choose a fave but I love “Creep” and the fun ones like “Leaping Lesbians” or “Java Jive.”

What is one of your favorite Mundi memories?
I was very moved by the community support & appreciation when we sang at Holiday Market, MNCH, and The Shedd.

Kara – Bass I

How long have you been with Soromundi?
I joined in 2001. Wow. Has it really been 20 years?

What is your favorite Soromundi song?
How to pick just one? But “Creep” is at the top of my list.

What is one of your favorite Mundi memories?
Singing the entire Adiemus Suite in concert. The music moves me to this day and being a part of such a major accomplishment for the choir in my first season was a life changer.

Lynn T. – Soprano I

How long have you been with Soromundi?
I have been with Soromundi since September 2019.

What is your favorite Soromundi song?
My favorite song is “Hymn of Axiom.”

What is one of your favorite Mundi memories?
I don’t have a lot of memories since Covid hit about six months after I joined, but I really enjoyed singing “Stand in the Light” with the Eugene Gay Men’s Choir. The whole concert was wonderful, and I was so nervous and excited that I almost passed out! Literally.
