On May 15, 2021, Soromundi Lesbian Chorus of Eugene will host an online 30-year Retrospective. This free event will be held via Zoom from 7 to 9 p.m. The evening will feature historical photos, music, a panel-discussion with founder Karm Hagedorn and Music & Artistic Director, Lisa Hellemn, and more.
Several past and present Soromundi members are featured as part of a local oral history project designed to preserve the rich history of the Eugene lesbian community.
Soromundi’s Diversity Committee has been working behind the scenes to gather some resources we all can use in our goal of addressing racism. Each quarter, we will spotlight a few Mundis and give our readers an opportunity to meet the individuals who comprise the chorus.
It’s fall and Soromundi is delighted to be singing together in person again. Our highest priority is the health and safety of our chorus, so we are taking gradual steps towards full rehearsals.
What does Soromundi do when we can’t rehearse together? Can’t perform? We make the best of it! Here’s a few highlights from a difficult year.
